Monday Giveaway

First of all, I really wanted to give a fountain pen away. Unfortunately, after inking up and checking out a few, I could not decide on which one to give away and that will have to be for another day. Instead...I am offering up some choices.

You could win these:

Fountain pen inky goodness.

or these:

Enough ink and refills to last a long time.

Here are the silly rules, contest ends 8:00 pm Eastern on Wednesday. My crack legal team is dreaming up my own (funnier) version of the randomizer and I will announce the winner in Thursday mornings post. All you have to do is leave any comment on this post and as usual, there will be a special separate prize sent out to the person who comes closest to making me laugh so hard I shoot coffee out my nose.

We can catch up with email after the contest to sort out which you like.  That's it.  Have a great day.

Pretty sure I've got no chance qualifying for the special 'coffee through the nose' prize. Could use the ink though

OK, your invite reminded me of an actual event. When I was in college (actually it was in the evening after classes) a group of us were out enjoying the neighborhood's 25 cent adult beverages and someone at the table said something really funny. My roommate (let's call him Scott) proceeded to open up both beer taps and refill his 2 glasses from his nostrils, much to the amusement of those assembled.

No kidding! But seriously, the ink would be a nice addition.

On this past Saturday, I went shopping at the mall with my Mom. After shopping, we went to the food court to eat. First we got a sample from Charlie's sandwiches, which is a little slice of sandwich on a toothpick. Then we were looking at the pizzas at Sbarro's Pizza, and my mom, with the toothpick still in her mouth, pointed at a fresh pizza that the worker was just putting down behind the glass counter. She said "Oh, that looks good!", and the toothpick flew out of her mouth, over the glass counter and landed smack in the middle of the fresh new pizza. As you can imagine, the man was not too pleased. My mom's face turned bright red, we bought our lunch there to try to appease him, and after we sat down, we laughed for 15 minutes! And yes, he did throw the pizza out.

I am a fairly new reader that loves pens. I don't have any funny or clever stories, but perhaps I could work on that with the supplies you have offered for giveaway.

Come on, sing along:

"...Coffee running out your nose,
like out of a water hose?
I've got an inkling that that's bad.
It could make an ink-ling mad.
So I better leave the jokes,
To alll the other folks..."

And now back to "Learning basic English with songs"... ^__^

Uhhh...
okay, it's less a joke and more a reference to the idiocy of Twilight(which I'm assuming, as a guy, you're not an epic fan of).
Anyways, I'm reading through the summary for the 4th book(Breaking Dawn) and I basically get to the end, where Bella is having the evil baby that wants her to drink blood and has already broken a few of her ribs.
So as I'm reading it, I'm talking about it with a fellow writer friend of mine(who also hates it), and I get to the part where the vampires rip open Bella's stomach using their fangs...
And she goes:
"Gotta get this kid out! OM NOM NOM."
Okay, so maybe not funny unless you at least semi-hate Twilight. but I was laughing about it for an entire day.

Well, if your legal team is on crack, then you will certainly come up with a unique randomizer. Funny, not so sure about that.

Any which way, I'll toss my hat in the ring.

That ink would do well in my newly acquired Parker 45!

Wow, a lot of clever people here... The randomizer should take cleverness into account.

Q. How can you tell a woman is having a bad day?

A. She has a tampon tucked behind her ear and she can't find her pen.

Sorry, it's the only pen joke I know.

There was a time when I kept unknowingly stealing my co-workers pens thinking they were my own. I'd see a Uniball Vision Elite and promptly swipe it and slide it into my pocket in one swift motion. It wasn't until I heard her exclaim, "Who keeps taking my pens!?", when I realized that I indeed have never owned that many Elites...

Pen swiping, a dangerous subconscious (although, sometimes conscious) habit of pen addicts...

My skill at joking in text and not in person is weak! I will have to just comment and hope against hope to win ink!

Ink, Ink, please the ink!
Not winning will drive me to drink.
Or, at least take me to the brink.
Okay, I know this poem, it does stink.
Randomize me! she said with an innocent wink.

I have 2 kittens, Hillary & Obama. (Obama is not African/American, but he IS black. While reading a bedtime story to my 6 year old daughter, I noticed she wasn't listening and was playing with the cat. Sorry dad she said. That's ok, I can see someone is more important, I said. Well, she replied, he IS the President!

I cannot think of a thing that would qualify as a "coffee through the nose" story. Hmm.

I will, however, say thanks for sharing. The J. Herbin inks look lovely!

Shooting coffee out of your nose sounds like major burn-age, so I'll spare you my witty wit. I'm so in for this giveaway.

PS. My word verification is "mabobie", though, that's pretty funny.
