A collection and some insight into the pens I use and love and a few of the dead ones as they pass their last drops of ink to paper from a pen junky.

The Container Store Rules
More on my organizing... The container store sells these really cool shoe boxes that seal tightly and are pretty inexpensive. Perfect for pens, inks, etc. I bought about 6 and I am a better person for it. here's a link if you are curious. I now have my pens organized "by category." or I am working on it at least. Rollers, gels, pencils, markers, mechanicals, all have a fresh home. I couldn't stand putting my fountains in there. It just feels like they are left behind if I do that.
I also love that my inks have a spill proof home now. I will repost once I am completed, but stacks of pens in my office have now been gently put away in a clear organized fashion. Yeah!
This also makes me very curious how everyone else stores there pens outside of the traditional pen boxes and cups? Feel free to post and let everyone know. Have a great day!

I'm with you on this one - plastic boxes rules the day, with variuos pen cases and Ziplocs taking up residence inside.
I have a set of clear drawers that I have them organized in, and a stash of backups in my dorm in my nightstand, which has three drawers.
Nothing special, but it keeps them more organized than a shoebox....
I just did a quick post this past weekend showing my pen drawer...nowhere near as organized as you...this is motivation for me though, thanks for sharing.
Are these boxes available in the UK?
I store my [few, in comparison to yours] fountain pens in a Chinese leather pillow box. I have two beautiful tin Indian food containers that hold all my fountain pen inks. I have several empty tomato tin cans, in which I store all my non-fountain pens, markers and pencils (both coloured and lead) on a shelf.
I love those plastic containers too. That is how I store all my markers, paints and pens.
i have a similar plastic box for my inks. it's more like a toolbox, but it's also transparent and my inks look cool inside the plastic box. i may just get a couple of them to organize my non-FP writing tools. cheers, seth!
Please - for the sake of design, pull off the UPC code stickers....my eyes!!!

I LOVE the Container Store too! Unfortunately the closest one to me is about 3 hours away. I must make due with Ikea and Target..
