Any suggestions for a solid work notebook? Preferably lined and project based with enough strength to handle an occasional fountain pen. Larger is better. Hard Bound is even better (it will get thrown in a bag and travel a lot) Thanks, what's everyone using?

I'm a fan on junior size Circa notebooks from Levenger. The bomber jacket covers are great, and the Rhodia refills would be ideal for fountain pens.
I continue to be impressed by the M by Staples brand notebook products. I'm currently using an 8x11 hardback notebook that I'm very pleased with it. The paper is smooth and great with every fountain pen I've tried, and the cover and binding is proving to be fairly robust. The website doesn't show much, but it'll give you an idea what to look for at your local store, which will certainly have more selection. http://www.mbystaples.com/
I would recommend any Rhodia or Clairefontaine notebook. They have versions with lines paper and in hardcover and they are very smooth. Exaclair is another option.
I've been surprised by Staples's Sustainable Earth sugarcane notebooks. Spiral-bound, hard cover, with pockets. Thin paper, but strong enough for fountain pens (that's all I use) without bleeding. Cheap, too.
If you're looking for a big notebook, go for the Levenger Circa letter with Rhodia paper. Amazing with fountain pens.

I want to second the Staples Bagasse (sustainable) notebooks. We have a big stack of them we use at work - the paper is very thin but does not bleed at all. I do wish they would come out with a stitched version with an oilskin-type cover, though.

I really like Rhodia's webbie. It's not 100% good at laying flat but the ultra smooth think paper makes it a perfect companion to a fountain pen. Some ink may bleed through but you have plenty of options that won't.
